Suppressing the FNX
The 45 ACP cartridge is an old lad, and is subject to ridicule as the “boomer caliber.” And fair enough. If there is one aspect that we cannot dismiss is its ability to be subsonic without the need for expensive subsonic rounds. It’s fun, and packs a lot of punch for such a quiet firing cartridge.
How it started VS How its going
Side by side of factory and the upgrades I’ve installed. The optic and weapon light are a must have for all of my handguns – minimum.
Mounting the Red dot
Red dots have come a long way and as an early adopter, I can say they’re mandatory on my handguns today. For this I went with the CHWPS 509T plate for the FNX.
Kit Setup
After watching somebodys Glock fly out of a holster I’ve started buying active-retention only holsters For the FNX I went with a made to order Midwest Tactical Solutions holster mounted up with the Safariland QLS system.
Running the FNX-45
As cool as it was, it’s really a novelty. The can is heavy – so hanging it off of the front of a handgun made maneuverability notably slower. Fun factor though 10/10.
